Dulce Rojas is Voto Latino’s Campaign Coordinator. Originally from Long Island, New York, and born in Mexico city. Dulce obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Spanish from St. Joseph’s College of New York. She became the first senior community organizer for SEPA Mujer Inc., a local grassroots organization that organizes Latino immigrant women and families. During her time there she led great groups of latino immigrants into protests, actions, and campaigns fighting to restore drivers licence access, fair wages and immigrant's rights. Dulce also developed unique curricula on community based leadership and civic engagement organizing for immigrant women and girls to become active locally and lead legislative advocacy with elected officials in Washington, Albany & in-district. She also served on a variety of state and regional coalitions, steering committees, task forces, and conferences. Today, Dulce joins the team at Voto Latino Foundation's headquarters in Washington D.C working to connect with grassroots organizations and issue based campaigns around the country! Dulce actively serve on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Immigrant Students Advocates, a grassroots organization working towards equal access to education and opportunity for immigrant youth.
